The Souk

The Souk was one of the favorite places on this trip. It is a bunch of shops that sell really cool Omani things. We ended up with a lot more than we should have. It is very tricky because everything is marked in Reals. Whatever price that is written on the tag is actually 2 1/2 times in American dollars. So...it feels really cheap but then you 2 1/2 times it and it is actually very expensive. I have never smelled so many "interesting" smells. It is hard to explain the smells. This place had lots of insence, perfume shops, and the smell of the people in the country. Strange smells is the only way to explain this.

Looks like such a great adventure! Fun to see your family all together, I bet your parents loved it. It was fun having dinner the other day too!
